They do things differently in France. Last July, a French artist planted a lipstick kiss on a painting by the American abstract artist, Cy Twombly. Two days ago, the culprit, Rindy Sam, was in court claiming she was merely showing her love for the painting, not trying to damage it. For the record, the painting is pure white. Full story here.
